“Adrienne was very responsive and did what it took to make sure I was comfortable with styles and colors including coming to my house several times to get it perfect. She followed up exactly as she promised and oversaw the project through to completion and then made sure I was completely satisfied after it was done. This was the first time I met Adrienne. Jonas took the extra time to remeasure our windows for plantation shutters after we waited a few months on deciding to place our order. When choosing curtains, consider their function, whether for privacy, light blocking, or decor enhancement. Take into account the room’s style, choosing curtains that complement the overall decor in terms of colour, pattern, and fabric texture. Measure the window accurately to ensure the curtains are the right size and length, considering whether you prefer floor-length or sill-length curtains. Select curtain fabrics based on light-blocking abilities, durability, and ease of cleaning.
In general, your curtains width should be double the width of your windows. For length, this depends on if you want floor length, sill length curtains or below sill. For sill length curtains, they should sit 1cm above the windowsill. Below length curtains generally sit around 15cm under the sill. For floor length curtains, ensure there is at least a 1cm gap between them and the floor. If your window has a radiator underneath it, the curtains should stop around 2-3cm above the radiator to avoid heat being absorbed by the curtain.
