“Feeling deflated at my inability to make a decision on anything related to interiors, I was so glad I called Ali! Firstly to tweak my kitchen, which was looking dated and tired, she replaced kitchen chairs, sourced a gorgeous chandelier, along with numerous accessories (candles, lamps, flowers etc) that I would never have chosen. She then moved onto transform a landing space, advising on painting an old piece of furniture (it doesn’t always involve buying something new!) and putting beautiful lamps and mirrors onto it to give a dead space real impact that everyone now admires. The next project involved creating a more grown up space for my fourteen year old daughter. We chose a beautiful upholstered bed with bedside tables and a dressing table. Funky cowhide lamps and fur added to the theme. The great thing is that (especially in the case of a child’s bedroom), there is no pressure to buy the most expensive pieces and Ali understands that there needs to be some value for money in the equation. We moved onto my bedroom and took it from an old fashioned room to a decadent retreat. I chose the first fabric she showed me and am just so delighted I have been moved on from my redecorating inertia. Ali has pulled it all together for me, creating a look that I love, bringing the colours, fabrics, lighting and soft furnishings into a coherent palate. Finally I gathered my courage (and convinced my husband) and went for the overhaul the kitchen really needed. New curtains and blinds, sofas and chairs recovered, new lighting, kitchen surfaces stripped back to bare oak and a kitchen table stripped back and brilliantly given a new limed oak finish. But most stunningly, along with all the kitchen units repainted and given new knobs and handles, we replaced a hundred year old orange oak floor with a lighter, beautiful herringbone grey hued oak floor. Ali has dragged the house out of the doldrums and given it a much fresher, cleaner feel. Couldn’t do it without her! I barely question what she suggests, as I know she can see it in her head and she's not been wrong yet!”

“I really wanted to finish off my living room which was currently a mishmash of begged furniture from when I first moved in to statement pieces I bought sporadically over the years leaving very little 'theme' to my collection, and with design paralysis I read about My Bespoke Room in a mag and decided to give it a try. I loved the ethos of making interior design accessible to everyone - a really customer centric approach. The questionnaire was simple, in fact the entire process was simple and the reply of moodboard, shopping list and floorplan came alongside a personalised email. I am not at all talented in design or creative flair but I want to love the space I live in, and My Bespoke Room has definitely given me inspiration and direction on how to do it.”
