We contacted Building Tectonics who transformed our uncomfortable space into a very light garden room by taking the walls down between the kitchen & dining room/lounge & adding a proper roof. We now enjoy cooking, eating & relaxing in a great open space”

“Alessandra supported us with our kitchen renovation. She spent with us half day at Magnet to design our kitchen, select the materials and the colours. She was very careful and detailed oriented to make sure the kitchen we were getting was exactly what we needed/wished for. Important to note that Alessandra is open find solution for what you need/wish for (different from other architects who wants to put their mark and leave their “stamp” in their designs). She did delivered not a kitchen, but what we called a master piece of art - her careful selection of colour and materials + solutions to corners and panels at the top/at the bottom to hide electrics paid off having her in that work. Everyone who comes to our house or lastly who sees our kitchen from Zoom/Skype or Team spots how beautiful it is (not only beautiful, but for us who uses the kitchen it is entirely functional, easy to clean and all sorted). “NineTen Architects were excellent from start to finish on our project - a loft conversion to a bungalow, adding master bedroom with glazed end wall, ensuite bathroom and dressing area. There were also modifications to the Ground Floor, removing a wall and (obviously) adding a staircase. Jeremy and James visited us and talked through the potential of the space, helping us to understand what was and wasn't possible, down to the details and materials. NineTen were very good at communicating and sent us a number of sets of drawings for comment, taking on board our requests at each stage and revising the drawings all the way up to a detailed set suitable for the builder to use for construction. “This is an early review since this process is still ongoing, but our initial offers were recently made available to us. I want to share how pleased we are right now. Even though we seem to have had a very long list of demands that we really didn't believe would work with our plot, nothing has seemed to be too challenging. In addition to a major renovation to make the rest of the house usable for our family, we are planning an annex for a family member. The best part was getting three different proposals presented to us. The 3D pictures really helped us understand the scale of the proposals, and it was nice to have some features that we didn't like (as we didn't realise they were until we saw them). We are now moving on to the next stage, where we are choosing the best aspects from each of the three possibilities, and we'll see how we do.
