Marble basins love or loath, let us know!

Have any of you houzzers/pros ever used marble in an ensuite/bathroom and how do you incorporate marble and make it pop. Whats your experience with the beautiful material. Look forward to seeing your comments!

I am having White under counter basin . I want basin counter , floor and shower bench to be of same colour marble but different colour from my beige Parleto wall. Please suggest colour . Do you mean White Carara Italian marble ? What is Ceasarstone Eggshell ? I have put my wall marble tiles in horizontal pattern . There will be no wooden cabinets in the bath. Bathroom height is 10.5 ft. Should I use a Chandellier and some spot lights for the White colour ceiling ? My style is traditional .

I love the mix as well. Matt chrome would look good as mentioned, but I think it looks nice even with the chrome. I've seen designer kettles using shiny chrome with a band of copper and it looks amazing, so this is no different. Not sure about the black taps with copper unless your room featured black and no chrome.

Yes that was one of the issues with our place. Narrow corridors, poorly lit. But by rearranging the access to key spaces, blocking some doors and creating a new double width doorway to the principle room, what was a narrow hallway is now integrated and useful. By converting the large loft, we now have a stairwell lit by two velux windows which also throw light into the heart of the building. Lastly the old underhouse garage is now a studio, glazed with full height blue-grey aluminium windows and a door. Our originally depressing, generic ittle bungalow on a sloping site has become a four bed live-work space on three levels that is beginning to feel more like our home

Hi Paula, why don't we try and base the design from the items that you don't like: green floor and magnolia basin and toilet. You could paint the walls in two colours, splitting them in an horizontal way (see inspiration picture attached). The bottom part could be a similar green to the floor and the top part a magnolia like the sanitary ware. You can also paint the radiator in the green colour like the walls. I would stop the green like 15/20 cm above the top of your sink to create a kind of splash back effect. You can then add pictures on the walls to make it more cosy. Ceiling painted in the magnolia colour and skirting too. This is the cheapest solution I could think of... Good luck!
