Comments (42)Wow some great advice here, sorry I have not responded for a while. So far I've decided to definately have a deep single bowl under mount sink, I will take the advice to hide the machines behind doors. Also I am going to have the stacking kit as the folding board will give me additional useable space. I don't know if the cupboards in the middle will make the space look heavy? at 5"11" I fear I might be constantly bumping my head against it. My kitchen cabinets are pale cream from Howdens, do you think it would look odd if I have the utility cupboards a light grey with a bold tiled backsplash? Thank you all for showing my your utility rooms really appreciate your advice all your advice and would really like to see some more pics of your space saving ideas and how you made your utility rooms more functional. Did not imagine such a small space would give me so many considerations on how to get the space right....See MoreWhat would you do about this layout?
Comments (15)I don't think all the measurements can be right? especially that bottom L shaped room... I wonder whether something like this could work? (really depends on how wide those 2 bottom rooms are, otherwise knock them through?) You could obviously do loads more if you knocked out a lot more walls... and completely reconfigured the space as then in some ways your "only limit" is your budget! lol Loads of potential though I'd imagine.. may be worth having a look and trying get a feel for the place in real life? Could also potentially move the door to the smallest bedroom away from the front door, and onto the internal corridor.. or this? OR this?...See MoreWhat colour would you paint these kitchen units?!
Comments (35)I'm in Northern Ireland and used Dee Light Furniture Facelifts NI. He has a Facebook page with lots of photos of his work showing lots of colours so its worth a look there. His standard of work is excellent and came highly recommended by word of mouth. He also builds this tear drop caravans to order! I think it was worth paying someone as he made our existing doors and drawers look brand new filling the holes from the old handles. We could never have done that to his standard...See MoreWhat are you most keen to change about your house?
Comments (6)What I would really like to do is the hall stairs and landing. Grim carpet, chipped paint, grubby walls. Been putting it off for years. Planned for three years ago, but breast cancer took priority, then a burst boiler, then a fractured pelvis, last year it was a new kitchen necessitated by having to move boiler, then back surgery, and finally, it was all booked for this May, then Covid 19 and lock-down came along! Had wallpaper and new light fitting in spare room for a year now. Patience.........See Moregold895
