Do I have to have fire doors?

We are renovating our two-storey 1920s property. The internal layout has been changed, and all electrics, plumbing etc are brand new. The front door leads into a small hall that has the stairs, downstairs toilet, coat cupboard and entry to the kitchen. Does this door to the kitchen need to be a fire door? I am getting confused because online it seems to say yes but only if the house is three storeys or more. What is the correct information? I ideally want it to be a glazed non-fire door between the kitchen and hall. Thank you.
