The development of the designs progressed over a period of 18 months, starting when the client walked into the studio with the proposed architect’s plans. The structure of the kitchen involved a beautiful curved wall leading the eye towards the garden and a key starting point was therefore to “streamline” the tall units into this wall.

With the need for entertaining guests in mind, the front kitchen needed to provide a strong focal point with a large surface area for placing platters and drinks. Behind the scenes, a second smaller kitchen was required in which to store bulk items, complete prepping, provide additional refrigeration and cooking facilities, and receive all the dirty dishes
