The Spice of Life

This kitchen needed to be special in order to fulfil the specific lifestyle requirements of these clients. A busy family with a love for Asian cooking, they enjoy eating meals prepared from scratch using a wide variety of spices and specific ingredients. The client buys these items in large quantities and carefully stores them in named containers so it was important to ensure we provided sufficient storage for these goods with clear access to identifying the container contents without having to rummage.
Many times the kitchen will become a hive of activity as the meal is prepared, enjoyed and cleared up by a group of up to 5 friends so the kitchen needed to boast plenty of work surface and sufficient space between the various appliances to permit each user adequate working space. The utility is cleverly positioned adjacent to the kitchen and, being open plan to the kitchen operates rather like a back kitchen, housing all the work top appliances like bread machines, juices and food processors. It contains a separate fridge freezer, and a full height drawer cupboard for easy access to all the spices and lentils as well as incorporating an additional sink with a waste disposal unit.
