Creighton Avenue, London

At Creighton Avenue, an existing semi-detached Edwardian house has been extended at ground level to create a large dining area, while its existing standard loft dormer has been remodelled to maximise space and create a luxury master bedroom suite.

On the ground floor, a fully glazed extension provides excellent views from the house across the garden, and brings plentiful daylight into the existing kitchen.

By converting the loft, the total floor area of the house was significantly increased by making maximum use of the existing building envelope. In the roof space, additional headroom was created by dropping the ceilings on the floor below, while the roof’s existing gables were exploited to form an intimate setting for the bath.
