Rotpunkt Wood & High Gloss Kitchen in Bardolia & Zerox HL Icy White.
Photos taken from a recent project in Lee-on-Solent, at the Milvil Corner Bed & Breakfast. The customer was in the process of finishing a large open plan extension to their Art Deco home and wanted a contemporary kitchen to use as a kitchen to service the B&B, as well as a living space for them.
We incorporated a dining area with dresser unit, kitchen area with peninsula and a first for us, "floating" tall units that cantilever out of the wall. These house the appliances; two ovens, a steam oven, combination microwave and two warming drawers, which have proven very useful to Steve, the owner and manager of Milvil Corner. As well as those it also houses the full height fridge and freezer as well as general food and linen storage.
At the back end of the kitchen we have also incorporated a desk area for the day to day administration of the B&B as well as custom cabinetry to house the freestanding washer/dryer as well as the boiler.
The furniture is from German manufacturer Rotpunkt. The doors are a slab style in their "Bardolia Synchronous Pore" finish. These amazingly affordable doors use a special melamine grained texture finish that actually matches the grain pattern on the door. A first for the kitchen industry and a first used in one of our projects. Paired with the Bardolia doors are white slab doors in "high gloss laminate Icy White" (also a new colour that we had never used before).
The overall design is handless so we paired the doors with a "brown steel" handle rail which when lit up by the under counter LED lights creates a lovely warm feel to this kitchen. Worktops are a seamless acrylic material produced by Wharf.
Overall we are very pleased with how this room has turned out.
