Emerick ArchitectsWith an open plan and exposed structure, every interior element had to be beautiful and functional. Here you can see the massive concrete fireplace as it defines four areas. On one side, it is a wood burning fireplace with firewood as it's artwork. On another side it has additional dish storage carved out of the concrete for the kitchen and dining. The last two sides pinch down to create a more intimate library space at the back of the fireplace.

GIL WALSH INTERIORSAn accomplished potter and her husband own this Vineyard Haven summer house.
Gil Walsh worked with the couple to build the house’s décor around the wife’s artistic aesthetic and her pottery collection. (She has a pottery shed (studio) with a
kiln). They wanted their summer home to be a relaxing home for their family and friends.
The main entrance to this home leads directly to the living room, which spans the width of the house, from the small entry foyer to the oceanfront porch.
Opposite the living room behind the fireplace is a combined kitchen and dining space.
All the colors that were selected throughout the home are the organic colors she (the owner) uses in her pottery. (The architect was Patrick Ahearn).

Kristin Lam InteriorsClean, contemporary white oak slab cabinets with a white Chroma Crystal White countertop. Cabinets are set off with sleek stainless steel handles. The appliances are also stainless steel. The diswasher is Bosch, the refridgerator is a Kenmore professional built-in, stainless steel. The hood is stainless and glass from Futuro, Venice model. The double oven is stainless steel from LG. The stainless wine cooler is Uline. the stainless steel built-in microwave is form GE. The irridescent glass back splash that sets off the floating bar cabinet and surrounds window is Vihara Irridescent 1 x 4 glass in Puka. Perfect for entertaining. The floors are Italian ceramic planks that look like hardwood in a driftwood color. Simply gorgeous. Lighting is recessed and kept to a minimum to maintain the crisp clean look the client was striving for. Linda McDougald Design | Postcard from Paris HomeWith its cedar shake roof and siding, complemented by Swannanoa stone, this lakeside home conveys the Nantucket style beautifully. The overall home design promises views to be enjoyed inside as well as out with a lovely screened porch with a Chippendale railing.
Throughout the home are unique and striking features. Antique doors frame the opening into the living room from the entry. The living room is anchored by an antique mirror integrated into the overmantle of the fireplace.
The kitchen is designed for functionality with a 48” Subzero refrigerator and Wolf range. Add in the marble countertops and industrial pendants over the large island and you have a stunning area. Antique lighting and a 19th century armoire are paired with painted paneling to give an edge to the much-loved Nantucket style in the master. Marble tile and heated floors give way to an amazing stainless steel freestanding tub in the master bath.

J. Stephens InteriorsA warm and welcoming kitchen awaits these homeowners every morning. The kitchen was specifically designed to coordinate beautifully with the clients older home which had a very European flavor to it. The warmth and and elegance of the mustard cabinets contrasts with the use the slate and wood floor. New wrought iron fixtures were custom designed to bring in a feeling of old world elegance. Hand done plaster walls received further aging through a combination of a multi layer glaze .

Cabinet InnovationsIsland, Butler's Pantry and 2 wall units feature Brookhaven cabinets. These units use the Lace with Charcoal Glaze and Rub-through on the Square Edge Winfield Raised with detailed drawerheads door style. Wall units have seedy glass fronted cabinets with interior lighting for display. Center Butler's Pantry cabinets are glass framed for fine china display. The backsplash of the Butler's Pantry has a wood back with an Autumn with Black Glaze finish that matches the rest of the kitchen. This expansive kitchen houses two sink stations; a farmhouse sink facing the hood and a veggie sink on the island. The farmhouse sink area is designed with decorative leg posts and decorative toe kick valance. This beautiful traditional kitchen features a Verde Vecchio Granite. All cabinets are finished off with a 3-piece crown.
