Headlands, Para 55, Gloucestershire

The ‘headland’ is a formation within ridge and furrow landscapes formed by the cattle being moved from once side of the plough to the other. The new Para 55 house sits at the meeting of two fields. The ‘leaf’ roof rests over the open plan living spaces and like a leaf, it will harness solar energy as well as carrying the flow of water from the higher to lower field.
