A split level Victorian house has been extended with an infill extension to create a generous kitchen / dining and living space, which opens out towards the garden. A super sized fixed window and bifold doors let light and nature into the stylish space. The challenge was how to seamlessly connect the rear dining room with the kitchen area which is one meter lower than the rest of the house. Two sets of stairs allow for easy access of both levels.
Accents are set with a characterful brick walls, stylish mid century furniture and a minimal timber kitchen with a sleek herringbone tile splash back. House plants are displayed on bespoke oak shelves
