nimtim ArchitectsA bold and colourful transformation of a terraced house in South London’s Corbett Estate creating a bright and joyous home for our client, her two daughters and her dog. The works created a new family space at ground, a master bedroom suite at first floor and a new loft room.
The existing house was in poor condition however it had clearly been a well loved family home which we and our client recognised and valued. Our proposal therefore deliberately referenced colours and materials from the existing house and reinvented them as something appropriate for a contemporary family home. Rather than erasing the character and history of the house, we were able to continue the story of the house into its new incarnation.

The Design GalleryOur remodeled 1994 Deck House was a stunning hit with our clients. All original moulding, trim, truss systems, exposed posts and beams and mahogany windows were kept in tact and refinished as requested. All wood ceilings in each room were painted white to brighten and lift the interiors. This is the view looking from the living room toward the kitchen. Our mid-century design is timeless and remains true to the modernism movement.

CarsonSpeer BuildersThis mid-century modern was a full restoration back to this home's former glory. The vertical grain fir ceilings were reclaimed, refinished, and reinstalled. The floors were a special epoxy blend to imitate terrazzo floors that were so popular during this period. The quartz countertops waterfall on both ends and the handmade tile accents the backsplash. Reclaimed light fixtures, hardware, and appliances put the finishing touches on this remodel.
