“Pret A Vivre have been outstanding from start to finish. Laura at the Fulham branch helped us hone down our ideas from the endless curtain styles and fabrics available. She could not have been more helpful and insightful and we feel like we got expert advice and just the right curtains for us. The lead time was as expected and fitting was equally impressive. The fitter turned up on time, was professional but friendly and fitting was quick and to an excellent standard. They really do look fantastic. Measure the window accurately to ensure the curtains are the right size and length, considering whether you prefer floor-length or sill-length curtains. In general, your curtains width should be double the width of your windows. For length, this depends on if you want floor length, sill length curtains or below sill. For sill length curtains, they should sit 1cm above the windowsill. Below length curtains generally sit around 15cm under the sill. For floor length curtains, ensure there is at least a 1cm gap between them and the floor. If your window has a radiator underneath it, the curtains should stop around 2-3cm above the radiator to avoid heat being absorbed by the curtain.
Simply measure from where you want your blinds to start (the rail), to where you want your blinds to finish. Add 10-15 cms to this to prevent light bleed. To ensure your blinds fit correctly, take measurements at 3 equal points across your window and use the longest size.
