Plus Rooms
3D Rendering in Woking, Surrey
Average rating: 4 out of 5 stars12 May 2015
“Living through a kitchen extension on a terraced London house isn't fun. We both work full-time and have two children at school so returning at the end of each day to the property once works had commenced could be a little stressful; but PlusRooms protected our downstairs areas, created a temporary kitchen for us and were really considerate of the fact we were living through the works. They project managed the whole thing right from design, costing, adjustments, planning, build scheduling, (prompting us what to buy and when), right through the build - and we couldn't be more delighted with our new space. Living through building works is unpleasant but was made less so with Robbie and James' support and professionalism. We had the odd snagging that needed resolving at the end of the job, which you would always expect, so we are more than happy to recommend PlusRooms and may be using them again next year!”

“Extremely happy with the service provided by Higham from the start of the design process through to my dithering phase and finally with the finished product. Everyone who sees my new kitchen wants their details. Questions always answered with patience, kitchen installed when promised to fit with a bigger building project and follow up help offered though not yet needed. Excellent company.”

“We called in at the Leicht kitchen showroom in Battersea having heard good reports about the brand. We fell in love with the display and chose the identical colourscheme. We can only praise the quality of help and professionalism that we were given during the whole process of buying the kitchen. We were advised where we could possibly make savings without compromising the quality and content of the kitchen. The project was especially tricky as minute measurements had to be taken prior to installation in a period house with its uneven walls. We were extremely happy with the result and love our new Leicht kitchen.”

“After considering 4 other contractors we selected Ryan's Decorators on the basis of previous projects, references and their clear understanding of the project. Do not be fooled by the company name - they do far more than just decorating! In summary Ryan's Decorators offer and deliver a first class service at a very competitive price. I would not hesitate to recommend this company.”

“Hired James and team to completely refurb 2 bathrooms + other works around the house.. As this was our first home refurb, it was a bit daunting but am extremely pleased with the experience provided by their team. As another reviewer noted, it did cost more than the estimates we obtained elsewhere - however the customer service was what made the difference. I appreciated the fact there was a structured and defined workflow for the entire process which helped make things go ultra smooth. Before the actual work we were in contact with Ele who helped design and give a 3D rendering of what everything would look like. This actually made a big difference vs just visualising using our imagination... When the work started, Alex (the project manager who also did a lot of the work) was absolutely terrific. The timeline of the entire job was put in an online document so I could see what was done each day and by whom (plumbing works on this day, plastering the next, etc..). Alex also would revise the document depending on additional works I had or if certain tasks had to be moved earlier or later. This was very useful as I could tell from early on that the project would be on time as they promised. Alex was especially great to work with. He was very dedicated and knew his stuff. Also answered a lot of random DIY questions we had too. The work was done on time and our family is very happy with the workmanship. Would not hesitate to recommend them!”
LWK London Kitchens

“When I started looking for a kitchen supplier for my new kitchen I came across LWK Kitchens in my search. I called them and made an appointment at the Canary Wharf showroom before Christmas. When we first arrived I thought this is where I want to buy my kitchen from but had no idea if it would fit my budget at the time. I was very excited to see the kitchen designs they had, all of which were very contemporary. I had already done extensive research on kitchen designs and materials which did help but until you see all the styles and materials available you can never be sure what you might end up with. We brought our architect plans of the ground floor back extension project which was due to commence sometime in April. Conrad helped us with our initial design as I wanted to include an Island and wasn’t sure exactly how I could place it without it being an obstruction. I found it very difficult on paper to see if space and layout would be adequate. We made adjustments to the layout and came up with a draft sketch of the kitchen plan. He did suggest a peninsula but to me that would have been an obstruction and would have had to decrease the depth of the island and would not have flowed well. I think a site visit to address some points would have been helpful as I was worried about certain elements throughout with plenty of sleepless nights. He came back to us with an initial quote and 3d designs before the Christmas holidays. I was very impressed with the pictures (didn’t think my new kitchen could really look that amazing). At this stage I went through the furniture list to ensure I had cupboards and drawers to my requirements. I was particular about having the wall cupboards as high as possible, didn’t want a gap (that basically collects dust) therefore couldn’t choose the slide up doors. This was slightly time consuming on my part but gave me a chance to think through the size and space and had to go backwards and forwards a little to reach a point where I was happy with all the specifics. By having supply only and sourcing my own worktop and installation it did cut down the cost. We were invited to a chef’s demonstration at the showroom which was great and it gave me the opportunity to show my daughter what we had chosen and gave us an opportunity to think about having the island a slightly different material etc. which we had decided to do. I also really wanted to have another look at everything. During this time there had been some developments with Neff products and new range of oven products were going to be launched so I was able to choose some very new and ultra slick ovens which affected my quote but was worth it in the end. Once I was finally happy with everything and paid a deposit which made me very nervous! It’s passed on to the next team or person so I had very little contact with Conrad after this and I thought he would have been my contact throughout. Customer service was a little bit lacking at this point. We were delayed in our building work so had to move forward our delivery date for the kitchen which was not a problem. My kitchen was supply only and was fitted by another professional who did comment on the good quality of the material. There were a few snags which were dealt with efficiently by Deborah (once I managed to make contact with her!) and reordered and sent out quickly. The island has turned out beautiful and a main feature of the kitchen which has a different wood grained finish to the rest of the cabinets. I opted for an off white shaker style look for the rest of the cabinets. For my granite worktop I was after a particular one I fell in love with from Houzz (which I studied for lots of ideas and tips and colour combinations for a year or more before I found LWK as well as subscribing to a kitchen magazine) which I eventually managed to source from the Marble and Granite Centre. My full extension was 6 m x almost 6 m wide plus the small galley area I had from my old kitchen which now houses the ovens, cupboards, bookshelf and an area adjacent with further storage and worktop which has all my big appliances that I never have to move. I also have a dining area which has an existing extra-large extending dining table for big dinner parties that can seat about 13 people, it was extremely important that I could fit this dining table in the new extension when fully extended. The space is separated by a small slim utility area, shower room and boiler room that runs the length of the extension. The double doors that lead from the back living room into the kitchen gives it an open plan feel when required and closed off for privacy. Despite some little issues i.e. not being able to speak to people when you call or might not receive a reply as quickly to an email. When the time approached to the delivery date I had to chase up to check everything was according to schedule instead of being notified in advance and being kept up to date on progress and delivery schedule (after all this is an exciting moment waiting for your new dream kitchen to arrive after months of building work). I guess it’s a very busy and hectic environment but I do want to feel important at the same time too after spending a great deal of money. Other people’s experiences may vary but overall I am extremely happy with the end result and what is my new designer German Hacker Kitchen that I could have only dreamed of. It’s not just a kitchen but a very sociable place with the big island/breakfast bar which we use for breakfast, lunch and dinner and everything in between and somewhere where we can all sit around and enjoy together and individually. I have had a lot of wonderful comments from family and friends who visit too. Thank you.”

“Model Projects have been involved in the planning and development of our project from before we completed the sale. Their vast knowledge and experience enhanced every aspect of the development from design to construction. They managed the planning authorities with efficiency and the advice they gave ensured we received planning 1st time. The use of 3D images has helped in the design and construction by making it easy for us, the builders and the neighbours to visualise. We would highly recommend them to anyone planning to undertake a renovation or new build project!”
