Grade II Listed Kensington Utility
Holland St. Kitchens designed and built this elegant yet functional utility room which formed part of this large Grade II listed Georgian townhouse. The space was tight, with much of the left hand side being taken up by the large boiler that serviced house.
Cabinets were designed to specifically fit the space offered, with a deep corner unit being built to make the most of the whole area. Cabinets were fitted at high-level, but these were also complimented with open shelving so as not to make the space feel too cramped. We decided to conceal the boiler with a large access panel detailed with the same shaker panelling to match the existing utility. We re-used the client's existing Miele appliances.
The kitchen was hand-built in our workshop in West London, with the doors constructed from tulip wood.
