Herbert Court Mansions, Earl's Court, SW5
Huntsmore was hired to project manage the design and build out of this new kitchen in a Victorian redbrick mansion block on Earl's Court Square. The original kitchen and dining area were split with a partition wall and the kitchen was very tired.
Huntsmore managed the process of the wall removal, organising a structural engineer to ensure it was non-supporting. The floor was strengthened and levelled up [a consistent problem in these old Victorian buildings is that the floors have become uneven over time] and a new oak engineered floor laid on top.
The kitchen was designed with a kitchen supplier Huntsmore work closely with, with close attention being spent on the kitchen fitting around the client's everyday needs.
A quartz composite stone was fitted by a separate contractor, with Huntsmore running the process.
The room and the rest of the property benefitted from a full decoration using Farrow & Ball 'White Tie' and a new central heating system.
Huntsmore also ran the entire 'License to Alter' process, liaising with the relevant surveyors and the management company, removing the stress and hassle for the client.
