As part of a wider landscape transformation and restoration, the first phase on the estate was the driveway and entrance. Barnes Walker designed new timber vehicular gates and piers to compliment the traditional features of the site. The main challenge was to design a planting scheme for the existing driveway, a narrow, linear space. Punctuations of statement plants within a repetition of topiary balls and cones and a unifying trim of Euonymus created a beautiful and interesting approach to this property.
