The client was keen to breathe new life into three under-used roof spaces of this prominent Manchester building. Barnes Walker created three roof terraces using a striking mix of topiary, decking, lighting and modern furniture with a city centre back-drop. The result is totally contemporary with cloud box and yew topiary providing year-round structure, enlivened with changing seasonal displays. Theatrical lighting adds drama and prolongs the terrace’s use at night.
