These clients aimed to transform their previously dark, moody kitchen into a light and airy space. The new design embraces brightness and openness, using soft tones, natural light, and clever layout choices to create a fresh, uplifting atmosphere that feels spacious, welcoming, and dramatically different from before.

This project involved the creation of a bright, contemporary open-plan living space through a rear extension and internal reconfiguration. The existing layout was opened up to connect the kitchen, dining area, and garden, improving natural light and flow throughout the ground floor. The works included a rear extension, structural alterations, and the installation of large aluminium-framed glazed doors to create a strong visual and physical connection with the garden. A contemporary fitted kitchen was installed, featuring matte black handleless cabinetry, integrated appliances, and a central island with seating. Flooring was installed throughout to soften the dark cabinetry and add warmth. Carefully selected lighting and minimal open shelving complete the space, resulting in a calm, modern interior with clean architectural lines and a timeless aesthetic.

We are delighted to reveal our recent ‘House of Colour’ Barnes project. We had such fun designing a space that’s not just aesthetically playful and vibrant, but also functional and comfortable for a young family. We loved incorporating lively hues, bold patterns and luxurious textures. What a pleasure to have creative freedom designing interiors that reflect our client’s personality.

Sally was asked to design and oversee the complete refurbishment of this stunning yet poorly converted one bedroom apartment set in a handsome period mansion block on the outskirts of Covent Garden in Central London. Enormously high ceilings give this apartment a New York lofty feel while large original windows flood the space with natural light. Sally discovered that original windows and decorative pillars had been boarded up and so immediately set about reinstating these unique period features. A streamlined kitchen with expansive lightly veined worktops and contemporary oak cabinetry was designed to compliment a classic oak parquet floor, giving the apartment a light, contemporary and natural feel.

Located on the dramatic North Cornwall coast and within a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), the clients for this remarkable contemporary family home shared our genuine passion for sustainability, the environment and ecology. One of the first Hempcrete block buildings in Cornwall, the dwelling’s unique approach to sustainability employs the latest technologies and philosophies whilst utilising traditional building methods and techniques. Wherever practicable the building has been designed to be ‘cement-free’ and environmentally considerate, with the overriding ambition to have the capacity to be ‘off-grid’. Wood-fibre boarding was used for the internal walls along with eco-cork insulation and render boards. Lime render and plaster throughout complete the finish. Externally, there are concrete-free substrates to all external landscaping and a natural pool surrounded by planting of native species aids the diverse ecology and environment throughout the site. Re-fit of an industrial space to provide an adaptable home that maximises available volume and celebrates the building’s raw appeal. A series of effective interventions allow the space to host a brand range of live work actives without compromising the bright open feel.
