“VC Design was recommended to me and I would do the same without hesitation. We contacted Veronica about drawing up plans for our ground floor extension and although conceptually we had a clear idea of what we wanted to she was invaluable in advising us how to best use the space and our options within the parameters of planning. She also contacted previous clients and arranged for us to see the work they had done, this allowed us to see first hand some of the ideas we had discussed. Veronica submitted the planning application and we have now received our approval - a job very well done.”

“Our conservatory included a kitchen, dining room/lounge with no doors & a plastic roof so we were very cold in the winter. We contacted Building Tectonics who transformed our uncomfortable space into a very light garden room by taking the walls down between the kitchen & dining room/lounge & adding a proper roof. We now enjoy cooking, eating & relaxing in a great open space”

“Alessandra supported us with our kitchen renovation. She spent with us half day at Magnet to design our kitchen, select the materials and the colours. She was very careful and detailed oriented to make sure the kitchen we were getting was exactly what we needed/wished for. Important to note that Alessandra is open find solution for what you need/wish for (different from other architects who wants to put their mark and leave their “stamp” in their designs). She did delivered not a kitchen, but what we called a master piece of art - her careful selection of colour and materials + solutions to corners and panels at the top/at the bottom to hide electrics paid off having her in that work. Everyone who comes to our house or lastly who sees our kitchen from Zoom/Skype or Team spots how beautiful it is (not only beautiful, but for us who uses the kitchen it is entirely functional, easy to clean and all sorted). Thank you Alessandra - you made us very happy and ensured lockdown could be easily managed with our new lovely and super functional (easy to clean) kitchen! Before Alessandra - red kitchen. After Alessandra - the modern, atemporal grey/blue kitchen (please see pictures).”

“Whilst project co-ordinating a refurbishment, I recommended Tom's practice Wellstudio architecture to my interior design studio's clients, a young creative family who were interested in undertaking an extension on their four story East London townhouse during the full scale renovation of their property. As the clients are lovers of art, we were keen to create a unique art led structure that was a little different, even unorthodox. The result was an origami inspired copper clad extension and garden canopy that's visual simplicity belies its technical complexity. This is where Tom really displayed his excellence as an architect, as he has both the artistic vision and collaborative character to flesh out conceptual forms that are genuinely original, but crucially, he also has the communication skills and technical rigour to bring it all to fruition with professionalism and diligence. I have no hesitation in recommending Tom for clients looking for an architect who can create something highly personalised to their needs and aesthetic.”

“We used Des and his team for a new build and renovation project in Leicestershire. From the beginning they focused on our requirements and ensured they delivered it. The building was well designed, fitted the conservation area perfectly and on budget. The DesEwing business provided a unique design that gets noticed for all the right reasons. “Our family is totally new in London. We bought an interesting 3 bed flat, above 20/F, besides River Thames on one side and overlooking a dock on the other side. The flat is quite new and ready for living in. We however want to have better use of the space while maintaining or even highlighting the character of the flat, we decide to look for an experienced designer from various internet referral platforms. I notice that there are a lot of highly qualified interior designers and architects available out there. After over one month of selection process, we finally decided with confidence to go with SB Studio. We choose See Beng not only because of his impressive portfolio in architectural work and interior design but more importantly is his eagerness and patience to learn our expectation. We have gone thru one month of work together. It is very fulfilled experience. See Beng listens to us patiently to learn the details of our need. In the meantime, he would always provide ideas that we never think of. I can say it is a very harmonious cooperation experience. We contract SB Studio for design and project management. We have expectations of work quality, time control and budget control. See Beng’s resourceful connection in the field provide us more alternatives in terms of style and price. In order to meet time lines, See Beng would work for us during weekends or holidays, when really required. My wife and I are so happy that we have chosen See Beng as our interior designer and project manager.”

“Tom and his team have been outstanding and so professional from day one. They take the time and care to explain all processes step by step including fee proposals and looking at time lines. They have listened to us patiently and respectfully even when I’ve come put with some crazy ideas but found a solution that was not only pleasing but better than I could have imagined. Will has been brilliant at responding efficiently and immediately no matter how silly the questions they may be, making the team very approachable. He has worked and listened to us and asked all the right questions to find a design that suits our needs but is practical. Both Tom and Will at each point have also kept us advised regarding budget at each step and clear about how the changes we want to make may impact that but more importantly rather than dismissing these ideas, looked for solutions and compromises where necessary which we would be happy with while trying to stay on target budget. We can not recommend them highly enough and have also used the team on much larger projects.”

“James provided architectural services to secure planning permission to extend our house at ground and first floor level, to the side and rear. Being located within a conservation area, visible from the street and on a tight plot, the design needed to be carefully considered, balancing our aspirations and the requirements of the Council. This James secured. Following the grant of permission, James assisted with the commissioning of the contractor, providing detailed working drawings, scope of work and attended on site during the construction phase. We are extremely pleased with the result. The extension is sympathetic to the architecture of the original house but provides a contemporary and spacious addition, which is highly functional as well as being aesthetically pleasing. James provided excellent advice at all stages in a calming manner, which was most welcome at the more challenging stages of the consenting and implementation process.”
