“After a frustrating couple of years having several planning applications rejected we sought advice from the person who lived in a contemporary house we had often admired. It turned out that this was Matthew Wintersgill of W & M Architects. He went on to analyse the reasons why our applications had failed and we immediately felt he understood our requirements and how to have the design accepted by the local planning authorities. We therefore asked Matthew to design our house and he fortunately agreed.
