Riviera, Santa Barbara CA, Las Tunas, Exterior and Interior Remodel & Addition
This 1960’s era Ranch House had previously been remodeled into a Greco-Roman style. The current owners asked to have it become a more of a Craftsman house, so major changes were made to the roof lines and facades. The interiors were completely redone to be consistent with the exterior. A clumsy central fireplace was removed and relocated into a corner of the living room. Windows and ceilings were changed in all the rooms to reflect the current style. The kitchen was relocated, and a new dog-friendly pantry was added.
The original garage required driving up a dangerously steep drive, so it was converted to a study, and a new garage was built closer to street level. The roof of the garage serves as an outdoor extension of the study.
