The original house on this lot in the foothills above Ventura city was lost in the Thomas Fire of 2017. Our clients, seeking a cooler climate and an ocean view, purchased the property and asked us to design an attractive and efficient new house for them. The main floor great room opens to a rear patio with outdoor kitchen and spa, and to a front patio with ocean view and moveable shading. The look they were after was "Contemporary Mediterranean".
