We were brought onto this characterful barn conversion in Lancaster at the recommendation of our friends at Gagarin Studio, who were leading the architectural work. Our initial brief was to design and build the interior joinery for the kitchen, utility room, pantry, and key storage zones throughout the home.

The kitchen features oak-veneered birch ply cabinetry paired with engineered quartz worktops and an Aga range cooker. The mix of traditional and contemporary materials anchors the space, balancing the barn’s rustic charm with a modern layout. A soft, natural palette runs through the interior, allowing the wood’s warmth and the simplicity of the design to shine.

Elsewhere in the home, we created discreet, custom-built storage, including a walk-in pantry with illuminated shelving and seamless wardrobe doors in the bedrooms. Everything was made to measure, designed to enhance the character of the space without overpowering it.
