Photo by: Camu & Morrison http://camu.co.uk/ This amazing room was designed by the amazing team of Camu & Morrison. It’s a Japanese cinema room with Tatami Flooring, hand dyed vintage French linen walling, vintage African textile cushions and Home of Wool Tufted Daybed Cushions. We had the honour of collaborating with those amazing professional on a few occasions before. So when they came to us again with a request to create a custom mattress for this project we were very excited to join right away! The daybed here is constructed of 3 equal pieces of tufted cushions filled with our 100% natural wool stuffing. The customer wanted some extra thickness, so we made the cushions at 20 cm each to accommodate that. The other special thing on this occasion was that the customer had chosen a very dark upholstery fabric which he explicitly wanted for the covers.

Be inspired by design from around the world to give your home a little exotic flavour. Whether you’re a fan of Moroccan decor, Japanese design, tribal prints, or tropical plants, you can find inspiration for all world-themed homes around the UK and the world here on Houzz. You can’t define the whole world’s style, but if you want to add Moroccan decor to your home then it’s about lanterns, jewel-bright colours, intricate detailed patterns, arched windows and lots of lavish textiles, while Japanese design incorporates natural wood, neutral colours, clean lines, vibrant greenery and minimalist furnishings. For an addition of African style, look for tribal prints, wooden pieces and pottery.

Gardens can be a great place to introduce a world-inspired theme. Simply pick the right plants and add a few small features to complete the look. Bamboo and other grasses, plus pretty climbing plants around pergolas or arbours will create a calming Japanese garden design, while Moroccan garden lanterns, exotic plants and bedouin-style outdoor seating will create a wondrous Moroccan sanctuary in your back garden.
