This typical Marseilles apartment situated on the second floor in a late XIXth Century building. The flat overlooked an extensive court planted with all the Mediterranean 'usuals' - olive, date palm trees, oleanders and mimosas. It had been a buy to let for many years and looked very miserable at purchase. It also stunk from lack of ventilation. Solving this problem was crucial to the project's success. The concept adopted for this small space was to create multi-functional space thus opening up closed up stuffy rooms.
