Grade II Listed, Kitchen Create Vaulted Ceiling, Rooflights & Glazed Steel Doors
Planning Permission for listed building has been obtained July 2026. This kitchen remodel is in a Georgian Grade II listed dwelling. The clients felt the existing, mostly flat ceiling was too low, a mere 2.1 metres high. Indeed it felt a bit dark and claustrophobic. They wished to have a vaulted ceiling with a number of rooflights. they also wished to widen one of the two French doors into the garden. Replace the timber doors with glazed steel doors. The existing four small leaded windows would have to be maintained.
Structurally, this would require replacing a modern timber structure added not so long ago. The roof alterations were needed to allow the creation of a vaulted ceiling.
