Canary Wharf Roof Terrace
This penthouse roof garden was shown on BBC Small Town Gardens and created a social space with unparalleled views across Canary Wharf and the Thames.
The biggest challenge was craning 20 tonnes of materials onto the roof. The spacious roof was divided into different zones; a deck area with central seating around a fire pit; a glass water feature and pond; a gravel area with an aluminium sculpture by John Brown and sculptured wind socks; a Jacuzzi framed within a stainless steel rim.
The planting was of robust, herbaceous plants that could withstand the wind and sun exposure. - See more at: http://www.gardenbuilders.co.uk/section/37/1/penthouse-roof-garden#sthash.cHMwlVvB.dpuf
