Contemporary Garden Design in Muswell Hill
Designed by Lynne Marcus Garden Design and built by the Garden Builders.
The multi levelled terrace was constructed to make use of the new extended kitchen elevation and to sit within the adjacent gardens levels as naturally as possible.
Terraces and changes in level were constructed and then clad or paved with Minster Stone (Portland), this is a beautiful, man-made material, a lovely alternative to natural stone.
Planting beds and a water feature pool were integrated at flush levels with adjacent surfaces to give a seamless flow.
Level changes were discreetly introduced to allow a calculated transfer from house level to existing lawn level.
Lighting was added to illuminate changes in level and feature trees and Shrubs, the planting is a mix of decidious trees, structural evergreens with season perennial interest weaved throughout. Emphasis on softening the perimeters was achieved by a combination of Cedar slatted screens and a dense mix of climbing plants.
