Stylish Blue Accented Kitchen with Walk In Larder
The colours in this stylish North London kitchen work really well – a simple neutral colour pallet, complimented by striking bursts of blue. It’s a practical and fun family kitchen that is uncluttered. The back wall has been divided up with stud walls to create different zones. There is a tall door on the left, which conceals a washing machine and tumble dryer which are stacked on top of each other, an American style fridge freezer with wine rack above, and a walk in larder area provide plenty of storage space. The walk in larder makes use of a great awkward space allowing for the storage of dry goods.
On the adjacent wall is a tall oven tower and sink run with wall cabinets above. We have used Concretto Biscotti, an engineered quartz, to create a simple and seamless finish for the worktop and splashback here. The clients originally wanted concrete but after discovering how impractical this is we recommended Concretto Biscotti as a more practical solution. The island includes an induction hob with downdraft extractor. This sits flush with the worktop, then is raised up when the hob is in use – an excellent solution for extracting on an island. It means that there is nothing obstructing the view to the garden.
