The client’s brief was for the refurbishment of the existing detached but cramped 3-bedroom house located in Bitchet Green, Kent to create a more spacious property with a clear front door. However due to the sites location and relevant planning policies there was a huge restriction on the size of any possible extension.

Offset Architects cleverly designed a 2 storey extension with glazed link to clearly indicate the old from new whilst slightly angling the extension to maximise the lovely long distance rear views. Using materials such as stone, brick and tile hanging in keeping with the outside of the existing property we created an attractive composition whilst creating a clean and refreshed interior by removing walls and increasing windows for a light and airy open plan feel.
