We’re delighted to have achieved planning and building regulations approval for a young couple with small children who recently purchased a new home that didn’t quite meet their family’s needs. The clients wanted to create a more functional and spacious layout, including an open-plan kitchen and dining area with a separate utility room, a larger lounge for family time, and an additional bedroom upstairs. To further increase space, we also designed a dormer loft conversion under permitted development, adding valuable extra room without the need for further planning consent. Our design carefully reconfigures the existing layout to provide light-filled, flexible spaces that suit modern family living while enhancing the overall flow and comfort of the home. The result is a design that transforms their house into a true family home — practical, welcoming, and ready to grow with them.
