Large Georgian Townhouse on historic square in Islington

Our client is an architect planning to reinstate a kitchen in the ground floor of her house. She has very clear design ideas but sought our help to coordinate the project and ensure her design aspirations were incorporated faithfully.
We co-ordinated a team of specialists to finalise the layouts, ensuring this was done without the need to apply for any consents except Building Regs.
We worked with:
- A specialist flooring supplier/ installer to work with the original joists of the space to achieve a flat floor to which beautiful new boards could be fitted, working within the confines of a very old and uneven house.
- Electricians and plumbers to reinstall services (to current Regs standard) in the original space, ensuring a ‘light touch’ in terms of the changes needed.
- A kitchen supplier to prepare the space for the bespoke kitchen cabinetry to be fitted
- A lighting supplier to source lights that are practical but also reflect the style of the property.
- Building Control to come up with innovative solutions that worked aesthetically, didn’t damage the historic fabric of the building but complied with the Building Regs.
