We worked with Andy and Iryna a few years ago on a major renovation of their home in West London – we were really pleased that they then engaged us to design and manage the renovation of their Central London flat.
Their new flat in Paddington had been tenanted for several years and was quite ‘tired’ and the clients asked us to address various specific issues.
The main living area was reconfigured to provide a much larger living room and semi-open plan kitchen.
The kitchen was replaced – we worked with a kitchen designer who produced a cunningly designed new layout, maximising room and make use of a lot of wasted space.
There had been issues with plumbing/ ventilation throughout the building which meant a strange smell was often present in the bathroom and there was a lot of boxing on the walls in this room – to conceal pipework. We designed a solution that meant much cleaner lines throughout the bathroom and added extra ducting to the extraction system.
Both bedrooms were redecorated with calming neutral colours and a new large built-in wardrobe replaced the rather dated existing one in the main bedroom.
Due to the age of the property most walls needed a thorough repair and redecoration, with detailed repairs to the original woodwork and floors and a stunning, new parquet flooring was laid throughout.
