Cass engaged us to design and manage minor construction and re-decoration work to her new home in Hackney.
Main works included layout improvements, installing a beautiful new parquet throughout the 1F and repairs to the roof and chimney and first fix upgrades throughout.
On the first floor, two bathrooms were fully replaced and reconfigured where necessary. The Ensuite layout was re-designed with a structural change of removing a doorway (access from the main bedroom) and re-instating an existing doorway to give access from the hallway.
We designed the ensuite with all new chrome fittings, decorating with contemporary textured tiles and a muted colour scheme to create a functional yet calming space.
Throughout the first floor there was full re-decoration in the bedrooms and hallway, including a high-end decorative finish of the existing joinery, along with fitting of brass ironmongery and feature lighting.
On the ground floor, works focussed on re-decoration and repair. In the lounge, we retained and repaired original detail (ceiling mouldings and fireplaces), refreshing with a bright colour scheme to enhance the light within the space.
To save on costs, the clients decided to retain the existing functional kitchen. To fit in with the updated contemporary design, we suggested painting the exterior cabinetry in a dark green to offset the original tiles- this has now become a strong focal point within the home.
Throughout the property we carried out additional works to maximise its usage/functionality. This included damp proofing the loft with minor re-decoration, garden maintenance at the front and rear and improving the basement ventilation.
