A white kitchen, colour blocked though, by a dark contrasting island with ribbed sink and a run of tall cupboards drenched in blue. Nothing dull here. Copper accents add form and weight, a tonal extractor fan and archway into the tiny (but mighty) utility room perform their architectural duties. Traditional marble worktops add a final authoritative point.
Sustainable Kitchens
A renovator’s dream with a previous life as a Rectory and care home. On top of the hill, the front of the building remains untouched with delicate restoration work to enhance the original beauty.
The back of the building once contained two wings with a rich and plentiful history which have since been removed and renovated into the magnificent window feature where a Sustainable Kitchen sits proud.

Davonport Kitchen & Home
The kitchen-diner in this Victorian semi-detached property in south-west London was designed to meet the functional and lifestyle needs of the client, as well as being ergonomically efficient.
Being avid entertainers, the couple wanted their new room to accommodate seating for up to 8 people, a traditional-style dresser and a bar area for making cocktails. ‘Holkham’ shaker-style cabinetry was chosen for its simplicity and pared-back feel. The uncomplicated design and focus on proportion make it a perfect fit for smaller kitchens.
Using the space either side of the original fireplace, the kitchen accommodates a large semi-glazed dresser as well as a small bar area which is topped with the same natural stone worktop, and is within easy reach of the fridge and dining table.
A banquette on the opposite side of the room was designed to provide additional space-saving seating and helps to balance the amount of furniture in the room without it feeling overcrowded.
The banquette seating is hand painted in the same colour as the kitchen cabinetry to help make the room appear longer, whilst also providing additional seating around the large family dining table. A dresser unit with bi-folding cabinet doors also maximises the amount of storage in this smaller room: designed and made to fit perfectly inside the alcove alongside the original Victorian fireplace.
Hand painted in calming Little Greene’s Sage Green, the room scheme combines natural stone, glass and oak elements which evoke a feeling of nature and space, helping the room flow seamlessly into the outdoor area beyond the traditional-style French doors.

The Myers Touch
In collaboration with the client’s architect, AR Design the layout of the kitchen was already in place. However, upon meeting the client it was clear she wanted a ‘wow’ island, symmetry in design and plenty of functional storage.
As well as a contemporary, family-friendly space it was also important the space that still respected the heritage of the house. The original walls of the property had many angled walls and featured some tight spaces, so careful consideration of SieMatic's cabinetry choices was given to ensure maximum functionality in those spaces. After much consideration, The Myers Touch specified SieMatic’s SC10 Cabinetry in a Provence Oak Laminate finish which was placed in a framed-style at the rear wall.
The same cabinetry was specified for under the island to create contrast with the new and original material features in the space. In order for the family to keep the kitchen uncluttered, careful planning of internal storage systems was considered in the form of using SieMatic’s internal Drawer boxes and their MultiMatic internal storage system which were used to store smaller items such as spices and sauces, as well whilst providing space for slide-out drawers and storage baskets.
To ensure an elegant yet ‘wow’ factor central island, The Myers Touch combined contrasting textures by using 30mm Silestone Eternal Calacatta natural stone, polished worktops with ‘waterfall island’ edges and a Corian solid surface back panel. The distinctive geometric patterned Corian panel in Cameo White looks particularly spectacular at night when the owner's turn on the architectural-toned lighting under the island.
Appliances chosen for the island included a sophisticated Elica Illusion extractor hood so it could be totally integrated in the new architectural space without visual distraction, a Siemens iQ500 Induction Hob with touch-slide control and a Caple Under-counter Wine cabinet.
To maximise every inch of the new space, and to ensure the owners had a place for everything, The Myers Touch also used additional cabinetry and storage options in the island such as extra deep drawers to store saucepans, cutlery, and everyday crockery.
The eye-catching Antique-bronze mirrored splashback not only helps to provide the illusion of extra space, but reinforces family ‘togetherness’ as it reflects and links the rear of the kitchen ‘snug’ area where family members can sit and relax or work when not in the main kitchen extension area.
The original toned brickwork and 18th Century steel windows in the original part of the extension also helps to tell the story about the older part of the house which now juxtaposes to the new, contemporary kitchen living extension. A handy door was also included in the extension which leads to the garage on the main road for family convenience and over-flow storage.

Frome Interiors
A very traditional kitchen in a beautiful Georgian home. The kitchen was designed around the Aga and an antique table as the focal points. The client wanted a calm and elegant space which felt as if it belonged to the house. The very simple cabinetry with no modern appliances on show creates a harmonious space, perfect for entertaining and family life. The traditional brass ironmongery and taps will age beautifully, as will the stunning marble tops and splashback. The shelf adds space for displaying treasured possessions and hides some practical lighting for the worktops. The modern fridge freezer is hidden in an old walk in pantry which provides space for food storage as well. The wall units which surround an existing archway to the snug form the perfect space for storing glassware and crockery.

This project opened up the kitchen space and connection to the garden by adding a side return. This created a larger kitchen/dining room and incorporated a utility space and separate ground floor WC into the scheme.

It is always a pleasure to work with design-conscious clients. This is a great amalgamation of materials chosen by our clients. Rough-sawn oak veneer is matched with dark grey engineering bricks to make a unique look. The soft tones of the marble are complemented by the antique brass wall taps on the splashback

One of our favourite handleless Shaker kitchens that we have recently installed is this kitchen in Hampstead. We love the 'Basalt' paint colour by Little Greene and it goes perfectly with the Teltos Statuario worktops. The beautiful oak herringbone floor adds warmth to create a lovely homely space. We also love the reeded glass wall cupboards surrounding the Falmec Pro Zeus extractor.

The kitchen diner of our Fulham Family Home was painted in Paint & Paper Library Capuchin which felt light & elegant, and we added contrast & texture with a granite worktop, pale green & inky blue Shaker kitchen & an oak herringbone parquet floor. A semi sheer curtain helped to prevent glare and added privacy, while the jute rug, upholstered dining chairs & bronze hardware added warmth.

This stylish and sophisticated dark grey German handle less kitchen in Hayes features an ‘L’ shaped layout with a peninsular island. This allows for the open plan living space to be perfectly zoned. There is a practical ‘work-space’ on one side with the Siemens induction hob, ovens, fridge and freezer and seating on the other which is great for entertaining. Silestone Nilo has been used for the worktops and Silestone Kensho on the waterfall Island. Both from Cosentino.
