The property was designed to significantly expand the existing property on this plot. Planning permission was secured for this property to be rebuilt utilising some of the original property footprint and foundations.

The property owners wanted to approach the build as a partial self-build so consideration was made to utilise as much of the structure of the original property as possible, which also supports our sustainability/re-use policy.

The pool was proposed as a natural pool with an exterior regeneration pool, fed by reclaimed rainwater via an underground rainwater harvesting system. Solar panels and passivhaus 'tricks' were introduced to the designs to maximise the efficiency of the project.
