Our client came to us in despair, having had a thoughtless rear extension plan drawn up a couple of years earlier, without consideration for budget and available resources. Looking at the proposed extension, we challenged our client to consider what was actually important to her, and the answer was not 'more space', but rather 'better space'.

Working closely with our client we developed a more realistic interior remodelling, which was respectful of her budget. The plans were discussed with some local builders we've worked with and one is currently working on the delivery for our client. Watch this space.....

The centrepiece of the remodelling was a simple stairwell redesign that was contemporary with a twist. A 'helical stair' system was designed for CNC manufacture which had some amazing metalwork and custom lighting detailing. This stairwell has allowed for a much better hallway space for bike storage, and a far more interesting three-storey access. More pics to follow shortly.
