This property already had an existing single storey rear kitchen. By demolishing this and extending across into the width of the property we then also able to open plan with the back part of the house. Lots of glass to the side pitch and flat roof helped light reach into the darker zone of the space where the new kitchen has now been positioned. Part of the original back room was also divided up and converted into a shower room; this was positioned into the darker zone of the ground floor off the hallway.
