Embarking on a strategic expansion, this project involved extending the kitchen seamlessly into the side return then aligning it with the rear wing for a cohesive and integrated finish. The vision included establishing an open-plan layout between the outrigger, currently serving as the living space, and the main frame, which originally housed the kitchen. In a move to enhance both aesthetics and functionality, the chimneys in the ground floor rooms of the front and rear main frame will be expertly removed. Furthermore, we created a more expansive opening in the rear wall of the outrigger to accommodate new doors, fostering a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces. To refine the interior, the lower ground floor ceilings underwent meticulous removal and replaster-boarding, resulting in a refreshed and contemporary living environment.
