A lovely new Wool Carpet to bring a feel of luxury in Chesterton, Cambridge
The Project
We recently worked at a 2 bed Victorian Terrace in Chesterton to lay new carpet on the Stairs and in the living room and we caught up with Charlotte the owner to talk about her Art of Flooring experience.
Charlotte explained that she was looking for something to replace her “old dingy brown carpet” and that it was “time for a facelift”. She had in mind that she wanted to extend the Vinyl Flooring that was in the kitchen through the rest of the house and so visited Art of Flooring with this in mind.
The Experience
Charlotte went to Art of Flooring as she wanted to support local and she had read excellent reviews about them.
She explained that she was considering an extension of the Vinyl Floor but was open to the idea of carpet as well. Art of Flooring were able to offer similar products to her current flooring but after lots of discussion Charlotte decided that carpet would be the best way forward.
She wasn’t set on an idea but knew she didn’t want reds, and wanted it subtle and in keeping with the blues that are on the walls. She chose a Tolenzo Mainline Carpet in Colour Gloucester Road which is a greyish colour.
It is a 100% wool Mainline is the finest of narrow two-colour stripes. This elegant stripe is subtle and smart and will give any room or office a sophisticated appearance.
Charlotte told us that the experience working with Art of Flooring was “amazing” and said “I was really impressed”. She went to the store, had a really useful conversation with the instore team, was able to take a sample and very shortly after this the carpet was installed, whilst she was out.
To sum up
Charlotte told us that she is delighted with the carpet and is glad she chose as she realised she had enough wood floor running through already. “The carpet softens the space, it’s very light and the stripes work really well” she told us. “It feels luxurious, rather plush and adds warmth.”
The three words Charlotte said she would used to describe Art of Flooring were “reliable, trustworthy and efficient” and then added “excellent quality” too!
We are delighted to have been able to support Charlotte in making her choice and providing and fitting a carpet that she loves.
