Amtico Luxury Vinyl Tile Treads with Stairrods Nosings and white painted Risers

Amtico LVT Treads with Stairrods Nosings and white painted Risers

The project:

We were asked by our customer to give this staircase a new lease of life at a home in Cambridge.

Installing Amtico Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) Treads on a staircase and painting the risers white did just that.

This project was to help put the finishing touches to a new build in home in Cambridge. Our customer had recently moved in and it already had Amtico LVT on the ground floor and the first and second floor which the builder had fitted. However the staircase was a blank canvas.

Continuity and a colour match was critical:

Our client knew from the outset that he wanted to continue the same LVT on the staircase rather than opting for an alternative flooring such as carpet or wood. The importance of the continuity of both flooring type and colour was paramount and gladly we were able to supply the exact product to match the other areas of the house.

Specialist skills:

Laying LVT on a stairs can be quite a specialist job however our installers are skilled and trained in all aspects of fitting so laying LVT on the staircase was easily achievable for them. The installation on this job was completed by Steve, watched over by our apprentice Warren.

The treads on this staircase are all in Amtico LVT, however we painted the risers in white. This adds visual interest and is also a safety point as it makes it easier to see the treads, reducing the risk of falls and trips.

Stairrod nosings were also fitted to the front of each tread to allow for any expansion and to complete the finish.

Why choose LVT?

Luxury Vinyl is a wise choice as it is very easy to maintain.

Due to the way it is made up of layers it is resilient and able to withstand high traffic within the home without suffering damage.

It also comes in a range of colours and patterns so you can achieve any look or style that you want.

In summary :

LVT installed on stairs with painted rises and nosings to complete the look is fabulous.

And not only does it look super, but our happy customer now has an exceptional wood effect floor that is easy to clean, and can withstand the heavy footfall that you would expect on a staircase.

We love it and hope that you do too!
