When Carpet meets Luxury Vinyl Tile

When Luxury Vinyl meets Carpet

The project

Our client came to the showroom looking for flooring for their riverside apartment in Cambridge and chose not one but two floorings for their Cambridge home.

The floor

Choosing flooring can be a challenge at the best of times and it would have been perfectly logical for our clients to choose just one type of flooring and run it straight through every room. However they chose 2 different floorings for their apartment, opting for a Moduleo Impress Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) and a Victoria First Impressions Carpet.

Two different types of flooring

The carpet and the LVT both offer a different feel to the rooms they are in but equally work really well together, meeting where rooms join. The carpet gives a warm, comfortable feel, making it perfect for the bedroom space, and the LVT give a sleek, wood effect to the living spaces.

Complement each other

The carpet in neutral and the dark LVT complement each other beautifully as you can see from the pictures.

Sometimes people worry that with Wood Flooring or LVT that it might be noisy underfoot, however this needn’t be a concern. In this project for the luxury vinyl tile installation phase we used an underlay designed to reduce the impact of sound.

What our clients think

This house review left by our customer says it all, and we are delighted they feel this way.
