The Woodworth family recently came to Art of Flooring looking to buy a new carpet for their 3 bedroom 1930s semi detached property near Chesterton in Cambridge. It was time for a replacement for their “old, tired carpet that had been in the house since moving into it” we were told.
They kindly took the time to allow us to ask a few questions about their experience working with Art of Flooring.

Mr Woodworth explained that they felt strongly that they wanted to use a local independent company to buy from rather than a big brand and were already aware of Art of Flooring as a flooring company in Cambridge as it was just around the corner from them.
He told us the staff were extremely helpful and friendly and had guided them through suitable options that were both good value and appropriately hardwearing for the stairs and landing, as well as looking great.
They chose an Elements Africa Carpet for their space and they also had a rug made out of the same carpet to put on the wood floor in the hallway. This beautiful carpet is made from the finest 100% Wools of New Zealand and is a unique fusion of colours reflecting the extraordinary hues of the African Continent and its wildlife.
“Sam also came to the house before installation with images of the chosen carpet which had a line running through it and discussed the most appropriate way to fit the carpet with this pattern, which was really helpful" said Mr Woodworth.
The fitting experience
“Not only were the shop staff friendly and approachable but so were the fitters. They came to our house and were respectful of our space which is really important to us. They also did the job quickly.
The finished product looks excellent, we are very pleased with the choice, we like the colours, it’s hardwearing and very good quality.”
